Book overview
Imagine being a young black male in urban America attempting to overcome any and all obstacle with your back against the wall. When the going has gotten tough, yet you keep going. When people have kicked you, spit on you, given up on you, and turned their back on you. It would seem as if you have nothing left. But something deep inside is pulling you to keep on going, regardless of how it looks. You cannot explain it, yet you feel a "something" telling you it's worth it: you're worth it. It's that feeling that something greater than anything you is in control. And that something for me was being born again. This is a poetical odyssey into the life of the everyday person: the ups, downs, rights, and of course, lefts. And how we, as creatures of the most High God, can overcome every obstacle. But first, we must look ourselves in the mirror and surrender. This book is my surrendering. Layer by layer.
