The Mission
#FromRustToGold is a platform in which we, as #teamDavis329, will talk about the effects of life in relation to God, relationships, life-changing events, and the successes/missteps that come along with it. Whether it be marriage, children, drug abuse, depression, incarceration... we will tackle it. Whether it be fasting, worshipping, praying, administering the Word… we will tackle it. All with grace and mercy, truth and honesty, and elements of passion.
Rust occurs when Iron is attacked by outside forces or chemicals and has a destructive effect on the element it interacts with. That is exactly what sin is, and what it does. Gold is tried by fire and is precious, and that is what redemption by grace is made of. Life and its circular trials have us either portray one of these two elements. We’ve all been through the “rust period” a time or two thousand. I pray we are existing in the “golden period” as we speak. For some, it is a constant swaying of both, and it ought to be. It’s called being alive, and it will be this way for as long as we are on this side of Jordan.
Our Focus
#FromRustToGold is just two people sharing life experiences and learning from others as well. So often we keep what we have been through and come out of to ourselves. We have become a society of men and women who, like the servant in Matthew 25:14-30, hid our talent so no one can find or use it. The only way for us to grow in spirit and equality is to allow our seeds to be watered. So Join Us, as we take a deep dive into the waters and become each other’s ark to survive.
